History & Timeline

To be called the Pioneers & Visionaries of the industry is the biggest achievement, far superior then any award or certificate our organisation can achieve. The history of RaCorr Pack Pvt Ltd is associated with the very history of the packaging industry in Kutch, Gujarat. As with every legacy, the beginnings are always humble.

The journey started with Bombay Printing Press, a small-scale manual block-printing press unit operated & owned by our patriarch late. Shri Kirtilal Vora with a very modest work force of 5 people in the year 1967. Thereafter, Expo Packaging, a manual corrugation plant, was founded in the year 1981 in the Kandla Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) to cater to the growing export demands in the area. Soon after followed Asean Box Corporation, a local unit in the Gandhidham G.I.D.C. to supply to the local market. Since then, the organisation has shown drastic growth with sophisticated & standardised manufacturing practices.

The story of RaCorr Pack is of the recent past. With a view of being a step ahead of the growing packaging industry, the unit was set up in the year 2021 in Ahmedabad. Equipped with the latest top-of-the-line 5-Ply Automatic Corrugating machine dishing out quality products to varied customers is not our agenda, but a habit!

From raw material inspection to final packaging checks, we follow strict protocols aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and BRCGS certifications. Our in-house QC lab is equipped with advanced testing machines for burst strength, compression, GSM, moisture, and dimensional accuracy. Sustainable Goals/Green Initiatives

At RaCorr Pack, our commitment to environmental sustainability is at the heart of our operations. We believe in not just meeting, but exceeding our environmental responsibilities through proactive measures that ensure the protection and preservation of our planet. Here’s a detailed overview of our green initiatives, designed to demonstrate our dedication to Earth Care:

Paper Recycling

A waste/by product of our corrugated box manufacturing facility, we recycle over 150-200 metric tons of paper on monthly basis by sending our paper scrap and wastage back to paper mills, who in turn reprocess it into recycled kraft paper thus ensuring a circular economy.

Water Treatment Systems

Sewage Treatment Plant (STP):
Our advanced 15,000 litre STP is designed to efficiently treat sewage and wastewater generated by our operations. By converting wastewater into safe, reusable water, we significantly reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to water conservation efforts.

Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP):
To ensure that all harmful substances are neutralized before discharge, We have installed a 10,000 litre ETP that handles the treatment of industrial effluents This system adheres to the highest environmental standards, minimizing the impact of our industrial processes on local water sources.

Rain Water Harvesting

Storm water harvesting is an ethical responsibility in today’s world, considering the rising water shortages, climate change and depleting ground water level. To bring a positive change in this direction, we have invested in a comprehensive rainwater harvesting system with a capacity of 200,000 litres. This initiative not only reduces our dependence on municipal water supplies but also helps manage storm water runoff as well as replenishing the underground aquifers.

Green Fuel

In our pursuit of reducing reliance on fossil fuels, we utilize De-oiled Cake (DOC) as a sustainable alternative for boiler fuel. DOC, a by-product of the oil extraction process, is rich in energy and helps us cut down on greenhouse gas emissions while optimizing fuel costs.

From a very small yet humble roots, the first-generation entrepreneurs initiated the footsteps in the packaging field in 1977.

Asean Box Corporation

That was the very first domestic setup established in Gandhidham (Kutch) with a view to catering to the Oil Industries and other Refineries/MNC’s located near the Kandla port.

1981

Expo Packaging (Kandla SEZ)

Gradually, another unit was setup in Kandla Special Economic Zone for 100% exports to Gulf/Middle East Countries.

Over the course of years, business expanded and the client requirement demanded the setup of another plant in Ahmedabad to be able to logistically cover a 700 – 800 KM radius for further supply

Big Box Containers Pvt Ltd

With the vision of the 2nd generation entrepreneurs and the tutelage/guidance of the elder generation entrepreneurs, this state of the art plant with an investment of Rs. 45 Crore was established to purely cater to the giant MNC’s/FMCG’s and to give them the feel of procuring boxes from an international level supplier. Most of the giants packing users in the 800 KM periphery were being catered by this unit.

Asean Box Corporation, Unit II

With the rapid development of Mundra Port and improved export facilities, the Kutch region became a strategic hub for expansion. To meet increasing demand, Asean Box Corporation – Unit II was established with an investment of ₹80 Crores. This modern facility caters to both domestic and international packaging requirements.
Among the very few players in India to have established 2 plants on such scales at that time.

Asean Pack, Label Division

The corrugated box clients had a huge requirement of stickers/labels and required services under a single roof. It would facilitate them in doing the ease of business, when being catered to by the same management – and thereby Asean Pack was created to continue our services to the ever-growing client basis.

With experience behind us and the right network of the right resources & Supply Chain, after being in this field for more than 45 years, we are setting up RaCorr Pack with an investment of further Rs 50 Crores, and a state of the art plant, to once again serve to the same faith put in by our customers prior to the fire accident.
